Frequently Asked Questions

What type of photography equipment do you use?
My photography equipment includes a Canon EOS 1Ds Mrk III which is a full frame 21.1mp DSLR camera that stores two memory cards -- in case one fails. This is important in wedding photography. It is considered a professional camera and Canon's flagship camera. I also have a Canon EOS 50D (15.1mp) semi-professional to professional DSLR (great for sports photography / 6.3 frames per second or fps), a Canon EOS 7D which is an 18 mp camera with HD video capability (great for sports photography / shoots 8 fps), a Canon EOS 40D 10.1mp semi-professional DSLR (also great for sports photography / shoots 6.5 fps), and a number of professional lenses, flashes, and other equipment.

Yes. Sessions may be conducted at the studio or your desired location.

Is there a minimum order I must buy?
The minimum order purchase is $40.

What does a print release mean?
A print release is a document given from Alan Hinkel to show that you have permission to go wherever you'd like to have prints from your CD made.
When you purchase a CD, this will automatically be given.

Since I bought this 5x7 print is it ok if I make copies to give out to my family?
Contrary to popular belief, just purchasing a photograph does not give you the legal right to have any reproductions made. The photograph you purchased is to be used for your display use only. If you want photographs to give to family and friends, they should be purchased from the photographer directly. If needed, you may purchase one single file with a print release to have as many photos printed as you need.
